Let's finish this!

I want to see this through, post all my backlogged photos, and let you know how everything wrapped up!  DC was a blast.  Well, DC itself was gross, muggy, and urban, but the symposium and socializing was great.  I gave my presentation early on (without a hitch) and so was free to absorb the other presentations and hang out for the rest of the week.  There were so many presentations that they all blur together now, but during the symposium I was very impressed with everyone's work.  Lots of interesting projects and super smart kids.  There were quite a few friends I had made at the orientation the first time around, and plenty more new friends (most of which were friends Chris made).    Fun activities included a trip to the National Zoo, fancy bowling (our Alaska team schooled the interns from Seattle), Lots of dinners out, and visiting my favorite Hookah Bar in Adams Morgan.  The Symposium was a whirl-wind, and I was sad to say goodbye to all the Hollings folks, but of course most upset to say goodbye to my guys Chris and Stan.  Expect photos of our adventures to be posted soon.

These photos are stolen from facebook.  I hope to get my last picture of me with the guys posted here soon!
